Studdly was created by students at CXXII High School (named after Ignacy Domeyko) in Warsaw, as a project in Poland’s Zwolnieni z Teorii competition. The team won a Golden Wolf in the education category at the XII Grand Final.

3. BYOK AI: with your own API key, your chosen provider turns text into subtopics and quizzes. Studdly does not run a server-side queue that stores your notes.

Everyday school pain is rarely “I lack another productivity dashboard.” It is a chapter on the desk, a test on Thursday, and no time to invent fifty quiz questions by hand, plus notes you would rather not dump into a random cloud. Studdly is built for that gap: photograph the pages you already have, get text via on-device OCR, then use your own API key so AI structures the material into mini subtopics and ABCD quizzes you can practice without penalty.

That loop matches how exams actually work. You need closed-book retrieval, not another highlighter pass. Subtopics break a chapter into blocks you can finish tonight; multiple-choice rounds surface misses before the teacher does. Once the path is ready, offline reading and quizzes survive the tram, the basement classroom, and exam-week Wi‑Fi that drops mid-period, because daily revision should not depend on a permanent connection.

Privacy choices fit school life too. Photos stay local for OCR; BYOK means your family picks the AI provider when generation runs, instead of trusting an opaque homework server. The app was shaped by Polish high-school students at CXXII LO (Zwolnieni z Teorii / Golden Wolf) who felt that friction themselves, which is why the product stays narrow: scan → path → quiz, not a kitchen-sink LMS.
